CHANGES FOR THE 2020-2021 SKI SEASON
Thank you for choosing Mount Pakenham for your snow school instruction.
PRIVATE & DISCOVER LESSONS:
Please check-in at Front Desk 1 hour prior to your lesson time.
Please arrive 1 hour prior to your lesson time on the first day to collect envelope with instructor details. Students renting should arrive 1.5 hrs prior to complete rental procedure.
Subsequent weeks, please arrive 5 minutes prior to lesson time and meet at designated meeting area.
The first few minutes of class are allotted for instructor preparation: class organization, student dress and equipment and class activities.
ON THE FIRST DAY OF PROGRAM, EACH STUDENT WILL BE ASSESSED TO ENSURE THEY ARE IN THE CORRECT LEVEL OF ABILITY.
Search for your instructor with the help of snow school uniformed facilitator, identified by Mount Pakenham blue uniform. For group lessons, instructors cannot wait for late students. Please be on time, ready to go.
Minimum 3, maximum 10: class size of 1 or 2 will result in an hour lesson (instead of 1.5 hrs).
The participants are grouped according to ability with classes usually set by the end of the second lesson. Students may be moved to a more appropriate level as determined by instructor and snow school facilitator.
We reserve the right to cancel programs because of insufficient reservations. If we cancel, refunds or alternate dates will be provided at your option.

Programs run rain or shine, warm or cold. Please dress for all weather.
Dressing for the Weather
Mount Pakenham offers you a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. The secret to winter fun is dressing properly for the weather. You’ll want to keep warm, dry and comfortable on the snow.
Check out our First Timers Guide to best prepare yourself (or your child), for a day on the slopes.
Helmets are recommended for skiing and snowboarding and are included in your rental price. It is important to wear a properly fitted, ski/snowboard specific helmet. Helmets should fit snugly and not obstruct vision. Helmets can be worn with or without a light head covering underneath such as a balaclava. A properly fitted helmet can help reduce the possibility of a concussion in the event of a fall.
For information on concussion awareness, please see the Government of Ontario’s page on Concussion Safety
You are invited to a Make Up day on Saturday March 6th or Sunday March 7th, 2021.
We welcome your questions, concerns and suggestions regarding our lesson programs.
