LATE ARRIVALS
Find a facilitator identified by a Mount Pakenham blue uniform. They will help connect you with your class. For group lessons, instructors cannot wait for or extend the lesson to accommodate late students. If the class is using the chairlift, you could be waiting up to 15min to join your class. Please be on time, ready to go.

CLASS SIZE
Minimum 3, maximum 10 (depending on age an ability).

Participants are grouped according to ability with classes usually set by the end of the second lesson. Students may be moved to a more appropriate level as determined by instructor and snow school facilitator.

WEATHER
Programs run rain or shine, warm or cold. Please dress for all weather.

Dressing for the Weather
Mount Pakenham offers you a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. The secret to winter fun is dressing properly for the weather. You’ll want to be warm, dry and comfortable on the snow.

Check out our First Timers Guide to best prepare yourself (or your child), for a day on the slopes.

Helmets (Recommended)
Helmets are recommended for skiing and snowboarding and are included in your rental price. It is important to wear a properly fitted, ski/snowboard specific helmet. Helmets should fit snugly and not obstruct vision. Helmets can be worn with or without a light head covering underneath such as a balaclava. A properly fitted helmet can help reduce the possibility of a concussion in the event of a fall.

For information on concussion awareness, please see the Government of Ontario’s page on Concussion Safety
