Special Needs & Disabilities
Students with disabilities and special needs (physical or intellectual) may not do well in a group ski lesson. Often these students learn better one-on-one in a private lesson setting. Please call us to discuss lesson options.
Most of our group lesson instructors do not have specialized training to work with individuals who have cognitive and physical limitations.
Students with physical challenges or significant cognitive impairments requiring an instructor with special adaptive training should consider booking lessons through a CADS (Canadian Adaptive Snowsports) certified instructor.
To register your child with the CADS 8-week program or if you have any questions, please send an email to registrar@cads-pakenham.org.
To register a child with the CADS 'Ski-in-School' (school trip) please put in your request through their online portal after booking your school trip. Please register all students who require the assistance of a CADS instructor on our website at: www.cadspakenham.ca Select Operations tab and then click on Ski-in-School Requests. Select Request Adaptive Support and complete the School Registration form. One form is required for each student. Please refer to the CADS letter for Educators that you received with your confirmation for full details and procedures.
